Track Name: Cubicle Dream
Every waking day the same song spinning in my head: “you have to move on, move forward, run before it's gone bad!” The kind of duty I am crafted and shaped for, running and pretending that I care forever more. I see the time is now, it's the day and age's rage. I'm behind the clock, the shrinking tick-tock time cage. Gotta make this work, don't want to be a disappointment. With my morning coffee I say a prayer for an appointment.

I'm summing up my strong points, writing down my sales pitch, conjuring some self-esteem — I have to give a killer speech. Like a pedigreed bitch I'm grooming for the big show. My hair looks perfect, my lips gloss and my eyes glow. Every advice is followed out of every magazine. Like the other nine point six percent I'm starting my routine — sending loads of paper with my services proposal; resumes and cover letters, “attn: waste disposal.”

Can I please you with this? May I impress you with that? If you want it, I can pull a bloody rabbit out of my hat. I can type and count while answering the phone, I can code, design and sell, and do it on my little own. I need neither food nor sleep, my shape's always at its peak. I'll work fifty hours a day, a hundred thousand days a week. I would clean the floors, build rocket ships and cut the loops. I swear that I could write a book on jumping through the hoops.

I will be a nuclear addition to your corporate family. You'll find the proof thereof in the attached CV. Upon request I can provide you with an infographic plan how my life-long dream's been that of working for the man. I hope you will uncover my letter and my application. Thank you in advance for your carefullest consideration. Hope to hear from you so soon, I hope it won't take very long and I won't have to hear every waking day the same song.
